Further description of Prid clutch plate

Car suspension system and engine are made up of many parts. One of these parts is called the clutch plate, which has one of the most basic roles in the car mechanism. Basically, a clutch is a device that disconnects and reconnects power

Generaly, car clutch system consists of components that include the clutch plug, clutch plate, clutch bearing, lever, prongs, gear plate and clutch disc. All cars with manual transmissions have a part called the clutch plate that allows the driver to move the car and change gears. The clutch plate wears out after a while and needs to be replaced. The time to change the car clutch plate depends on the type of driving and usually has to be changed every 60,000 kilometers.

The clutch plate has a cushion design that creates a softening or cushioning effect between the engaging surfaces when the clutch engages. In addition, the clutch plate has a vibrating design that prevents the transmission of torsional vibrations from the gearbox and vice versa

Clutch plate

The clutch plate is a circular plate that is in frictional contact with the clutch disc. This part is in constant contact with the flywheel with the pressure of the clutch disk, and if the clutch pedal is pressed, the system leverages and separates the clutch plate from the flywheel. In the middle of the clutch plate, a thousand-pronged ball is placed to engage the gearbox input shaft, which rotates the clutch shaft plate connected in the case of a flywheel. Around the clutch plate, the pads are riveted to the corrugated spring plates of the clutch plate, which will gradually apply pressure to the plate when the clutch engages. In addition, grooves have been installed on the pads for better cooling and to prevent overheating. These pads are installed on both sides of the clutch plate.

Clutch plate defects

Disadvantages of the plate include the car shaking at the moment of releasing the clutch, and this vibration is due to the spring coming out of the clutch plate hub.

In order to fix this problem (defective springs) and proper maintenance of the car, the clutch plate must be completely replaced immediately.

Other disadvantages include the clutch backlash, which is due to the grease of the pad or the end of the clutch plate pad.
